CAN I DRIVE A MOTORHOME WITH A NORMAL CAR LICENSE?
Yes, you can drive any of our vehicles with your normal car driver’s license! You don’t need a special license to drive most campervans and motorhomes in Australia. You can drive a vehicle less than 4.5 tonnes in weight on a normal license.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE MILEAGE FOR AN EX-RENTAL MOTORHOME?
At Cruisin’ RV Sales, we perform a 150-check point inspection for every vehicle we have for sale and provide you with a gas certificate and the vehicle’s service history.
The mileage for an ex-rental motorhome like our 6-berth Avidas is 200,000+ km*, while our Toyota Hiaces have 290,000+ km*.

HOW MUCH DOES A MOTORHOME WEIGH?
The weight of our 6-berth Avida Motorhomes is 4.500kg GVM.
The weight of our 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes is 4.250kg GVM.
The weight of our Toyota Hiace Campervans is 2.800kg GVM.
WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF YOUR MOTORHOMES?
Our 6-berth Avida Motorhomes are 7.2 meters long, 3.2 meters high and 2.3 meters wide. The internal height is 2 meters.
Our 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes are 6 meters long, 2.9 meters high and 2.1 meters wide. The internal height is 1.9 meters.
Our Toyota Hiace Campervans are 4.9 meters long, 3 meters high and 1.7 meters wide. The internal height is 2 meters.
HOW MUCH DOES AN EX-RENTAL MOTORHOME COST?
Our team calculates the price of each vehicle based on the year of the vehicle, the mileage, and the condition.
Currently*, we have the following models available:
- 6-berth Avida Motorhomes: 2017 and 2018 models starting from $87,990 + on roads.
- 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes: 2018 and 2019 models starting from $84,990 + on roads.
- Toyota Hiace Campervans: 2014 and 2016 models starting from $34,990 + on roads.

WHAT IS ADBLUE? HOW DOES IT WORK?
AdBlue is a clear, non-toxic liquid made of 32.5% urea and 67.5% deionised water. It’s used in diesel vehicles to help reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. AdBlue is injected into the exhaust system using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology.
AdBlue is stored in a separate tank and automatically injected into the exhaust system at specific intervals. It can be purchased at gas stations or automotive retailers.
Note: None of our present stock currently has AdBlue—only vehicles from 2021 use AdBlue.
WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE FRESHWATER TANK IN A MOTORHOME?
This water is used for the sink, the shower, and the toilet flush.
The water tank capacity for our 6-berth Avida Motorhomes is 125 litres.
The water tank capacity for our 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes is 80 litres.
The water tank capacity for our 2-4-berth Toyota Hiace Campervans is 40 litres.
We recommend filling your freshwater tank as often as possible. Our 6-berth Avida vehicles have a 12-volt switchboard that allows you to check the level of your freshwater tank.
WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE GREY WATER TANK IN A MOTORHOME?
The grey water tank collects wastewater from the kitchen, bathroom sink, and shower.
The tank capacity is 125 litres for the 6-berth Avida Motorhomes and 80 litres for the 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes.
Our 6-berth Avida vehicles have a 12-volt switchboard that allows you to check the level of your grey water tank. We recommend emptying it as regularly as possible.
DO MOTORHOMES HAVE SOLAR PANELS?
Yes, our 6-berth Avida Motorhomes and 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes have 150w solar panels on the roof. They’re here to charge your auxiliary batteries.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WARRANTY AND INSURANCE FOR AN EX-RENTAL MOTORHOME?
Your vehicle’s warranty provides comprehensive motorhome coverage, protecting you against unexpected repairs and breakdowns. Check out our 5-Year National Warranty for 6-berth Avida vehicles and our 12-Month National Warranty for Toyota Hiace vehicles included in every purchase*! (*T&CS apply, Limited time offer). The warranty is available for purchase for the 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes.
Unlike the warranty, motorhome insurance protects your vehicle from various risks, including accidents, theft, vandalism, and natural disasters. It’s crucial to safeguard your motorhome with the right insurance coverage.
CAN I TRY A MOTORHOME BEFORE I BUY?
Yes! Rent one of our vehicles for at least 5 days, and then if you buy one, we’ll deduct the rental price from the sale price!

We have done that many times for our customers! Indeed, you can organise a vehicle delivery with our sales team!
WHAT IS THE ENGINE SIZE AND FUEL CAPACITY OF A MOTORHOME?
Our 6-berth Avida vehicles have a 4-cylinder Turbo 2.3L Diesel with a 120L fuel tank.
Our 2-berth Fiat Ducato vehicles have a 4-cylinder Turbo 2.3L Diesel with a 120L fuel tank.
Our Toyota Hiace vehicles have a 4-cylinder 2.7L Petrol with a 70L fuel tank.
HOW MANY BATTERIES DOES A MOTORHOME HAVE? WHAT IS THE STORAGE CAPACITY?
Our Toyota Hiace and 2-berth Fiat Ducato have two batteries: the main cabin crank battery and a house/auxiliary battery (1x100Ah) for the vehicle’s interior.
Our Avida vehicles have three batteries: the main cabin crank battery and two house/auxiliary batteries (2x100Ah) for the inside of the vehicle. The engine compartment battery is located under the passenger’s side cabin floor in the main driver’s cabin.
- Main Battery
The main battery starts the engine and is necessary for running the vehicle. It provides a quick burst of power to get the engine going.
- House/Auxiliary Batteries (100Ah)
The auxiliary batteries power all the electrical systems in the motorhome, including lights, water pumps, fans, and other 12V appliances. They can be charged by plugging into a power source, by driving or using a solar panel.
Each auxiliary battery has a capacity of 100Ah (amp-hours). This means it can provide 100 amps for one hour or 10 amps for 10 hours.
- Solar Battery (150kW)
This battery stores energy from solar panels, letting you use solar power to run your appliances and lights.

WHERE IS THE POWER COMING FROM?
- 240V (AC Power)
This is the standard mains electricity voltage. In our motorhomes, it’s typically used when you’re plugged into an external power source, like at a campsite on a powered site. This system runs the microwave, power points, and air conditioner and recharges the auxiliary batteries.
- 12V (DC Power)
This is the voltage supplied by the motorhome’s batteries. It’s the same type of power that your vehicle uses. It powers the TV, water pump, fridge (for the Toyota Hiace) and interior lights.
- Gas (LPG)
The gas bottle is located on the vehicle’s exterior in a locker marked by an L.P Gas Storage label. It commonly powers stoves, water heaters, and the fridge/freezer (LPG fridge/freezer for 6-berth Avida and 2-berth Fiat Ducato only). The gas burners in the vehicle operate on LPG. The basic operation is the same as a gas stove in a house.

2-berth Fiat Ducato vehicles: 11L to 14L/100km

IS THERE A DIESEL HEATER IN THE MOTORHOME?
No, our vehicles don’t have diesel heaters. However, our 6-berth Avida and 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes have a reverse-cycle air conditioner that generates hot and cold air. You need to plug the vehicle into the main power to use it.
CAN I ADD AN AWNING?
Our 6-berth Avida vehicles all have awnings, but for our 2-berth Fiat Ducato Motorhomes, we’re happy to install an awning on request! Talk with our sales team; they will arrange this for you.
CAN I ADD A LITHIUM BATTERY?
You can! The cabinets storing the second batteries have space for additional batteries in all our vehicles.
CAN I PUT ON A DIFFERENT MATTRESS?
Absolutely! You can have a customised mattress made by a specialised company to suit your needs perfectly.
