5 ways to enjoy a caravan or camping adventure with Dad this Father’s Day

The days are getting longer and after the year we have all had, who doesn’t want to hit the road and get away from it all.  We all deserve a break, but especially dads.

Here are 5 easy ways to enjoy the time with your father.

  1. Plan a quick getaway

If you are lucky enough the be living in a region that is
able to get around and travel, then Father’s Day is the best time to make the
most of it!  Make sure you pack the
fishing rods.

If you live in separate households but are able to meet up for a trip together this might be nice too, multi-generation trips are great fun and a nice way to change it up a bit if you have been spending a lot of time at home together.

  1. Set up a backyard adventure

A backyard set up can be just as fun if you are not able to
getaway this year – set up the BBQ or a fireplace and share a special meal
together.  You might even be able to set
up a tent or caravan in the backyard and camp out for the night.

  1. Make sure that dad is all geared up for the next trip

Why not try something other that socks and jocks this year?  There are so many wonderful caravan and camping gadgets (and don’t dads just love gadgets) that you can choose from, for all budgets and traveller styles.

A lot of camping retailers will deliver too, so if you can’t
get to the store or you live away from each other then you can still arrange a
special surprise.

  1. Book as special experience

This is a good tip whether you travel with your dad or not –
perhaps a fishing charter or a special local restaurant, or maybe even try
something new.

If you are planning a trip away together, you can make it
extra special by booking something that you may not normally do

If dad is off on an adventure without you, you can still
make his trip extra special by booking something nice for him to try wherever
he might be going.

And if you aren’t able to get away together just yet, you
may like to book something for the next time you are able to take a trip
together.

  1.  Create something that will remember and share the good old times

Father’s day is all about remembering the special moments
you might have shared over the years, you might be able to create something
that helps remember these special times together on caravan or camping
trips.

Perhaps a photo book of holiday snaps or you can also get great personalised items that are a bit quirky too like mugs, stubby holders or calendars.  Another great gift that you can sent across if you are unable to spend time physically together.
